Surrounded by 63 acres of vines and neighboring Hennessy, Remy Martin and Grey Goose Vodka, Jean Fillioux is considered by many to be one of the most sought after Grande Champagne cognacs.
Known for making cognacs solely with eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne Crus, La Maison Rémy Martin is one of the most prestigious Cognac Houses in the World. Founded in 1724 by Rémy Martin, who originally was a wine grower by trade, the House of Rémy Martin is now responsible for approximately 15% of the cognac sales world wide.
In a region where tradition rules, the fourth generation Master Blender of Bourgoin Cognac, Frédéric Bourgoin, is looking for ways to innovate while maintaining the integrity of the spirit of Cognac. The Bourgoin family has been farming grapes and making eau-de-vie for other cognac houses for generations, but in 2015 the energetic and forward thinking Frédéric took the brave step to begin bottling their own cognac.
Known by many as The House of Napoleon’s Cognac, Courvoisier, to this day continues to serve as a steward of the relationship between France’s greatest general and the great spirit of Cognac. Although there is no direct proof that Napoleon himself drank cognac, it is known that he chose cognac to reward his troops for their bravery and loyalty.
Founded in Paris in 1809 by Emmanuel Courvoisier and Louis Gallois, The House of Courvoisier is presently one of the the most important cognac houses and is responsible for approximately 10% of cognac sales worldwide.
